Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that purchase Allianz Business Shield between 1 October and 31 December 2021 can enjoy extra protection at no additional cost.

Under the promotion campaign, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) is providing SMEs free Miscellaneous cover. Businesses under the retail and office category will receive complimentary RM250,000 coverage (worth RM400 in premium), while those under the manufacturing sector will receive an RM430,000 coverage (worth RM540 in premium) at no additional charge.

Besides that, SMEs that have purchased Allianz Hospital Income (medical plan for employees) under Allianz Business Shield previously or do so during the campaign will also be eligible for a one-time cash payout of RM2,000 if the employee is hospitalised due to COVID-19 or RM10,000 if the employee passes away due to COVID-19.*

“With Allianz Business Shield, our goal is to help SMEs minimise their business risks in times of crisis. In the aftermath of COVID-19, SMEs continue to struggle. As insurers, we can step up even further, so we are offering them complimentary cover so they can enjoy better coverage without having to worry about the cost,” said Horst Habbig, Chief Sales Officer of Allianz General. 

Launched in May this year, Allianz Business Shield sold more than 5,000 policies within the first four months. Allianz Business Shield offers flexible and comprehensive insurance solutions for 63 occupation classes in which SMEs can select their preferred coverage based on their business needs and customise their sum insured.

With fire insurance as a base coverage, SMEs have the option to add on any of the 17 coverages available, from Inconvenience Relief Benefit with COVID-19 coverage, Group Personal Accident to Burglary, Machinery Breakdown, Goods in Transit, Profit Shield and more based on their business needs.
