Allianz Malaysia’s social partner, Cahaya Society, has recently won a total of €40,000 (approximately RM202,867) grant from the Allianz Group Social Impact Fund 2024 initiative in the MoveNow categories with integration of Financial Literacy.

Double winners was the order of the day at the 3rd leg of the Allianz Junior Badminton Championship Dewan KBA, Alor Setar, Kedah with K. Joshua from Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid, Kedah; Teoh Min Yi from SMK Batu 5 and Lee Han Ning from SJKC Chung Hwa winning their respective categories in both Singles and Doubles.

The Group posted an insurance revenue of RM1.34 billion, representing an increase of 15.1% from the RM1.16 billion posted in the same period of last year. Gross Written Premiums (GWP) increased 11.7% to RM1.90 billion compared to the same period last year while Profit After Tax (PAT) surged 9.9% to RM189.8 million. Total Assets grew 10.1% to stand at RM26.79 billion from RM25.92 billion in 31 December 2023.

Allianz published its latest “Global Insurance Report”, which analyzes the development of insurance markets worldwide. According to the report, the global insurance industry grew by an estimated 7.5% in 2023, clocking the fastest growth since 2006, the year before the GFC. In all, insurers worldwide collected EUR6.2trn in life (EUR2,620bn), p&c (EUR2,153bn) and health (EUR1,427bn) insurance premiums.
