Allianz Malaysia Berhad’s Malaysia Day celebration was a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The celebration to mark the formation of Malaysia (joining of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore) on 16 September 1963 before Singapore broke away in 1965, centred reliving memories from the historical era through photos, videos and stories from employees who witness the milestone. Besides that, the celebration also included fun activities such as the screening of the P.Ramlee classic Madu Tiga, wau making and batik painting activities, the wearing of traditional costumes, distribution of Cendol-flavoured ais krim Malaysia and an evergreen playlist featuring local and international music from 1963 such as Achi Achi Buka Pintu (P.Ramlee and Saloma), Surfin’ USA (Beach Boys), Sukiyaki (Kyu Sakamoto), My Boyfriend’s Back (Angels) and more.
