Kuala Lumpur, 27 December 2022

Kuala Lumpur, 27 December 2022 – Allianz Malaysia Berhad – via its corporate social responsibility arm, Allianz4Good – contributed two vehicles to Malaysia International Search and Rescue (MISAR) and Yayasan Chow Kit to support the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in helping those in need.

Last month, Allianz Malaysia presented MISAR with a Toyota Hilux Double Cab as an emergency relief vehicle for the NGO to conduct relief initiatives.

As for Yayasan Chow Kit, the NGO received a Foton View CS2L van to replace the previous one which was damaged by the floods. The van will be used for its daily activities such as transporting children to schools and education centres, food aid delivery, and hospital visits, among others. Some 120 children are expected to benefit from this initiative.

Two separate handover ceremonies were held which saw the Allianz Malaysia Chief Executive Officer, Sean Wang, presenting the mock key to MISAR founder, Captain K. Balasupramaniam and Yayasan Chow Kit Chief Executive Officer, Ananti Rajasingam.

“Our partnerships with both MISAR and Yayasan Chow Kit are ongoing. We are always glad and thankful for the opportunity to extend a helping hand to those  in need through these NGOs, especially during emergencies such as floods.

“We hope these vehicles will extend the reach of MISAR and Yayasan Chow Kit to more people,” Sean said.

It is not Allianz Malaysia‘s first time supporting MISAR and Yayasan Chow Kit.

Allianz Malaysia recently also worked with MISAR to provide Flood Survival Trainings for Malaysians, its Allianz We Care Community members and employees to be better prepared for floods this year. The company collaborated with Yayasan Chow Kit to provide microgrants to their community of beneficiaries during the heights of the COVID-19 pandemic.
