- Allianz Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Malaysia), through its corporate social responsibility arm, Allianz4Good, has partnered with Malaysia International Search and Rescue (MISAR) to educate the public on flood and sinkhole survival skills at the MISAR Academy, Kampung Pandan.
- The MISAR – Allianz Flood Emergency & Sink Hole Survival Program 2025 featured hands-on training covering 18 practical modules, including emergency bag preparation, SOS signalling, “float to survive” techniques, drowning CPR, air pocket survival, roof-to-boat escapes, and sinkhole rescue drills. The training also covered flood evacuation safety measures for children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and pets.
- The program aimed to equip participants with the critical skills necessary to respond effectively to the increasing number of flood and sinkhole disasters in Malaysia. It attracted 149 enthusiastic individuals, reflecting broad community interest in disaster preparedness.
- “This program empowers participants with real-world skills to act quickly in life-threatening situations, through our partnership with MISAR, we are building safer, more resilient communities” said Ng Siew Gek, Head of Allianz4Good.
- MISAR Founder Captain K. Balasupramaniam added, “Our training is designed so every Malaysian, regardless of age, can protect themselves and help others during emergencies.”
- The initiative reflects Allianz Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to disaster preparedness and community safety through impactful public training.
