- Reigning champion New Straits Times successfully defended their title by defeating first time finalist Sin Chew Daily 3-0 in the final of the Allianz Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Malaysia) Media Badminton 2026 tournament held at Sports Arena Sentosa recently.
- They are currently the most successful team in the history of Allianz Media Badminton with four titles since the tournament’s inception in 2019, followed by Astro with two titles. In the third and fourth place playoff, debutante RTM defeated last year’s finalist, Astro 2-1 to claim third place.
- The Plate category saw Harian Metro defeat Bernama 2-1 to become Plate champion.
- The sixth edition of the Allianz Media Badminton tournament featured a total of 12 teams – Astro, New Straits Times, Bernama, China Press, Kosmo, Sin Chew Daily, Sinar Harian, The Star, Harian Metro and two new teams, RTM and Media Karangkraf, with host Allianz Malaysia rounding off the cast. The tournament was played in a round-robin format, featuring two Men’s Doubles categories and one Mixed Doubles category.
