East Coast Region defeated Northern Region 2-1 in an exciting final to lift the Allianz Junior Football Camp (AJFC) Malaysia League 2019 crown in the Grand Finals at Arena MPSJ in Subang Jaya today.
Adam Alif’s double in the first half was good enough for the East Coast side who survived a late comeback by the Northern team who pulled a goal back in the second half through Muhammad Ismat Imran.
Following the Grand Finals, 10 players who impressed with their football skills, tactical awareness, teamwork, and temperament were selected to compete in Allianz Explorer Camp (AEC) – Football Edition Asia in Singapore from 23 to 26 July 2019.
At AEC – Football Edition Asia, the players will face their final test as only two Malaysians will be selected for the AEC– Football Edition in Munich, Germany from 22 to 27 August. There, the players will get the chance to train with FC Bayern Munich’s youth coaches at the famous Saebener Strasse training ground and explore the other opportunities beyond football.

Congratulations also to the ten remarkable young boys who will represent Malaysia at AEC- Football Edition Asia in Singapore! “AJFC is in its eighth edition in Malaysia and is played in six regions, nationwide. Allianz Malaysia has held on to our commitment towards football, recognising how youth development programmes play a vital role in keeping youngsters engaged in sports. We are proud to provide a sustainable platform to promote football participation and exciting competition for youngsters to test themselves. Besides that, through learning the fundamentals of football, we hope to reinforce essential values such as sportsmanship, respect, positive attitude, and teamwork,” added Zakri.
AJFC Malaysia League 2019 took place between 2 March and 27 April which saw CIMB-YFA Red Star (Central), Bintang Biru (North), JBFA (South), Kuantan Soccerkids A (East Coast), SAFA Kota Belud (Sabah), and Petra Giant FC (Sarawak) crowned as champions of their respective regions. Following that, top-18 players from each region were selected to form regional teams which would then compete at the Grand Finals.
