Investment Ready Programme

Empowering the entrepreneurs of the future for a better Malaysia

As a responsible corporate citizen, Allianz believes in empowering those who want their businesses to make not just money but also a societal impact.

The Investment Ready Programme 'Encouraging Future Generations' by Allianz and Impact Hub is a unique acceleration programme, tailored for purpose driven entrepreneurs aiming to foster social inclusion of children and youth. The programme aims to give social entrepreneurs a chance to learn the nitty-gritties of developing and running a successful business and attracting investments.

Once all the applications are in, teams from around 10 social ventures will be selected for a six-month training programme, which will review their business models and strategy, and help them craft a sustainable growth and investment plan. One lucky social startup also stands to win a grant of 40,000 euros from Allianz.

For now, the programme targets social startups in Malaysia, Brazil, Germany and Turkey.

The business must be incorporated in one of these countries and target issues that prevent children and youth from building a good life. The focus areas are diverse, ranging from education to health to gender inequality and others, depending on local needs.

In Malaysia, we focus on diversity, education and health. Topics that combine with tackling environmental issues, safety and protection are also welcome.

The startups applying for the programme must meet some basic requirements. The technology, product or solution you are developing must be proven feasible and you should have done some initial market validation in terms of price testing, customer development and trial licensing with positive results. Your product or solution should also be scalable and your financial model should fit the challenge you are addressing.

“Allianz Malaysia is proud to be one of four countries taking part in the first ever Investment Ready Programme initiated by Allianz Group. We acknowledge the importance of contributing back to society and have done so through our volunteering activities and corporate giving initiatives, amongst others. However, we are also interested in supporting new types of business that foster innovation and could potentially provide sustainable, long-term impact.” said Zakri Khir, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad.
