Muhaimin Aeizad Azhar believes that the recently concluded Allianz Junior Football Camp (AJFC) in Munich, Germany is the best endorsement for his young career.

The 16-year-old from Kuala Lipis, Pahang capped off his stint at the camp from 17 to 22 August 2017 with a superb performance, leading his team to 4-3 victory in the five-a-side tournament on Monday.

“When Coach Klaus (Augenthaler) presented me with the medal, he jokingly asked me if I was Messi or Ronaldo. But that to me is the highest honour for me because in football, it's not the size of your boot that matter, but amount of heart you have that makes you a champion,” said Muhaimin.

“The whole camp has been a blast, I have enjoyed every second of it. I hope that being part of the camp will give him more opportunities to pursue playing football professionally. I know that AJFC can open a lot of doors and I am excited for the next step,” he added.

AJFC has unearth talents such as such as Mohammad Syawal Rosman and Thipanraj Subramaniam who are playing in the 2017 President’s Cup squad for T-Team and KL FA respectively as well as Sharvin Selvakumaran who currently plays with the Malaysian U-17 to name a few.

“My goal is to play football professionally. I have sat in the stands at the Darul Makmur Stadium dozens of times to watch the Tok Gajah play. I hope some day, I will be partnering Azam Azih in central midfield. That would be a dream come true,” added the SMK Clifford student.

At AJFC, Muhaimin and compatriots Amirul Zul Aiman Asmaly and S.Devesshraja underwent daily training sessions in which they were put through drills which emphasised various techniques from ball control to types of passing and shooting accuracy.

During the camp, the players also enjoyed a class with FC Bayern’s sports psychologist Christian Luthardt, watched FC Bayern Munich beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 in the opening Bundesliga match at the Allianz Arena on 18 August and had a meet and greet session with Robert Lewandowski, Renato Sanches, Kingsley Coman and Bayern’s new signing Sebastian Rudy.

AJFC in Munich was held from 17 to 22 August 2017 and featured 54 young footballers aged 14 to 16 years old from 24 countries including Argentina, France, Egypt, Indonesia and Mexico.
