Calling all running enthusiasts, registration for the annual Allianz Pacesetters 4x3KM 2019 is now open! 

Organised by Pacesetters Athletic Club with Allianz Malaysia Berhad as title sponsors, the Allianz Pacesetters 4x3KM 2019 is one of the most prominent relay running race events in the country. 

This year, the run will flag-off at 7.30a.m. on 2 November 2019 at Padang Merbok in Kuala Lumpur. The event will feature five categories; Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Mixed Open, Under 26 Mixed, and Kiwanis Pace-It-Forward (Mixed). Besides that, corporates can take part in the Corporate Sponsorship category with a minimum donation of RM1,000. All proceeds will be channeled to the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation, the sole recipient since the inception of the event in 2014. Over the last five years, the category has raised a total of RM222,000 for the Foundation.

Including the Allianz Pacesetters 4x3KM 2019, Allianz Malaysia will be involved in five runs in this year. Allianz Malaysia Berhad Chief Executive Officer, Zakri Khir said: It’s a bumper year of runs for Allianz Malaysia and we are very excited to continue to be part of the conversation in encouraging Malaysians to adopt a healthier lifestyle through our sporting initiatives. We are very pleased to be the title sponsors for this event for the sixth consecutive year and we believe that everything you strive to achieve goes hand-in-hand with healthy living, teamwork and having a positive outlook on life. 

Race director Munning Jamaludin said: “Our mission is to promote health, fitness, and bonding in a team event while supporting the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation as part of the club’s corporate social responsibility.”

Ultron is the official apparel for the event. 

Registration for the Allianz Pacesetter 4x3KM 2019 will close on 30 September 2019 or when participation reaches 300 teams, whichever comes first.

Running conditions state that runners must be at least 13 years old (as of 31 December 2018). Teams participating in category C, D, and E should have at least one female runner who will serve as the first runner. In addition to that, Pacesetters members participating in category A, B, and C will be eligible for an RM40 rebate as long as all four team members must have a valid Pacesetters membership that either expires no earlier than December 2019.
