First CI policy in the market to cover more than 150 critical illnesses

Let’s face the facts. Critical illnesses (CI) such as cancer, heart attack, and stroke are not picky when it comes to gender, age, lifestyle or financial circumstance.

However, medical advancements have led to better treatment options and improvement of survival rates. For instance, Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC), a type of nose cancer common amongst Malaysian Chinese and Bidayuh Sarawak generally has a survival rate of five years. The rate can increase up 10 to 20 years following early detection and those diagnosed with stage one or stage two NPC also have significant survival rates of 80 percent to 85 percent.
So if you are in the prime of your life, your main concerns would center on recovery and income. It is also the first CI policy in the market to offer coverage for more than 150 critical illnesses which include Kawasaki Disease with Heart Complications, Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, Severe Ulcerative Colitis and Early Melanoma.

Allianz Malaysia’s enhanced Prime Care+ can help you with the latter.

A critical illness insurance, Prime Care+ offers a living benefit in which the policyholder will be provided with a lump sum payment upon claim which can act as an income replacement during and post-recovery to help them maintain their lifestyle, and assist with the cost of long-term care and financial commitments.

“We all can attest to how dependent we are to our income.  Prime Care+ offers you a financial safety net for when you need it the most,” said Ong Pin Hean, Chief Sales Officer for Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad.

“Being unable to work and earn a living while you are recovering from a lengthy illness is not an easy situation to be in, especially when having commitments to your loved ones and chosen lifestyle and other obligations such as home and car loans. The lump sum payment upon claim will help take care of your financial worries while you zero in your focus on getting better,” added Ong.

The policy, which covers the insured from age 15 days to 100 years old, also offers additional payout under Diabetes Recovery Benefit, Cancer Recovery Benefit, and Catastrophic Critical Illness Coverage.
