Allianz Malaysia Berhad today launched the Allianz Pacer Run 2015 that will take place on 6 December 2015 at Dataran Putrajaya, Presint 3, Putrajaya. Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad, Zakri Khir said that Allianz is proud to present the event as it reflects the Company’s aspiration to encourage a healthier lifestyle amongst Malaysians.

“In Allianz, we believe the best assurance to a healthy life is to exercise and being active physically, hence, we hope the Allianz Pacer Run 2015 can inspire more people to start running. Running has proven to be the best exercise to build up core elements for mental and physical strengths,” he said.

Zakri also noted that the Allianz Pacer Run 2015 is a continuation of Allianz’s efforts to encourage people to lead a healthy lifestyle since the introduction of the Allianz Pacer Running Community in October 2013.

“Through Allianz Pacer Running Community, we have organised various fun runs, coaching clinics and other activities all year round to inspire people to start running by providing them fun and interesting environments with regards to running,” he added.

“We have also actively used the Allianz Pacer Facebook page to provide useful information and tips on all things related to running.”

Meanwhile, the Allianz Pacer Run 2015 will feature a total of six categories (five categories in 12km route and one for the 6km Fun Run). The 12KM categories consist of the Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Veteran, Women’s Veteran and Corporate Challenge.  There will be a total of 4,000 spots allocated across all the categories.

Registration fee is RM30 for the Fun Run and RM55 for all the 12km categories except for the Corporate Challenge, in which the fee is set at RM1,500 per team.

The Corporate Challenge enables an organisation to register any number of teams with each team consisting of a minimum of five and not more than 10 runners. The results will be tabulated based on the fastest overall timing of the five best runners of a team. All registration fees from the Corporate Challenge category will be channelled to Cheshire Home Selangor; a home for persons with disabilities.

All participants who complete the run will be presented with a finisher’s medal and an e-certificate except for the Fun Run runners that will receive their certificates at the finish line.
