Allianz Malaysia recently donated a Nissan Urvan to Pertubuhan Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Kg. Kenanga Rawang (PDK Rawang) to address its transportation needs ferrying students who are Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Head of Allianz4Good of Allianz Malaysia Berhad Ng Siew Gek said: “We have been supporting PDK Rawang since 2017, and this year we extended further support by donating a van to enable them to transport their students and teachers around in a safe and hassle free manner.” PDK Rawang is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that provides vocational training for PWDs from underserved families. At present, PDK Rawang has 76 registered PWDs and the centre provides early intervention programmes for those aged 4-6 years, physiotherapy for those with cerebral palsy while the young adults help around with the daily chores and making of “Rempeyek” crackers, a common malay delicacy to generate income for the centre.
