In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Allianz Malaysia Berhad distributed festive goodies and sundry items to seven non-governmental organisations (NGOs) supporting underprivileged communities in the Klang Valley. As part of its annual practice, the Company conducted a donation drive, encouraging employees to give back during the Holy month of Ramadhan. Items that were collected this year include rice, milk, and curry powder, toiletries, adult, and baby diapers as well as Hari Raya cookies. The items were then distributed to the NGOs between 27 May to 3 June 2019. “The Hari Raya contribution has been an annual initiative at the Company and one that has always received tremendous support and generosity from our employees. This year, our contribution benefitted 500 individuals. We hope that it would have brought them some joy and happiness this Hari Raya,” said Ng Siew Gek, Head of Allianz4Good of Allianz Malaysia Berhad. The NGOs involved in the initiative were Rumah Amal Cheshire Selangor, Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Rawang, PDK Sungai Choh, Lighthouse Children Welfare Home Association Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary Kuala Lumpur, Lembaga Pelawat Rumah Ehsan (KKB), Persatuan Kebajikan Harapan Selesa Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Seri Setia. The NGOs cater to persons with disabilities, the hardcore poor, and old folks.
