Pursuing a career in the insurance industry just got a whole lot more interesting with the Allianz Masters, a regional training programme aimed at professional development is the first ever to be launched by the Allianz Group in Asia Pacific.

The structured programme by LIMRA, a worldwide research, learning and development organization is a strategic initiative to provide Allianz agents with the professional development in building towards it’s the Allianz’s new Digital Agency model in the region. In Malaysia, the programme will be opened to Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Life) agents.

“The Allianz Masters underpins our absolute commitment to provide our customers with distinguished service and support, while also laying a strong foundation for our new Digital Agency model in Asia Pacific. As customers continue to integrate the use of the Internet in buying decisions, we recognise the need to empower our advisers with the right skill-sets, with the goal of achieving greater customer satisfaction. This tailored programme will raise the bar on professionalism, digitalisation and entrepreneurship both in our agency force and within the industry," said Lars Heibutzki, Chief Distribution Officer, Allianz Asia-Pacific.

Our agents will be better equipped with the professional development that our customers will come to expect from their trusted financial partner,” said Ong Pin Hean, Chief Sales Officer of Allianz Life during the launch of the Allianz Masters at Syeun Hotel in Ipoh, Perak yesterday.  

Apart from obtaining an internationally recognised certificate, through the Allianz Masters, agents will also gain access to the best practices from the sharing of ideas from its strong global network as well and a sharing community and e-learning platform that never sleeps.

Allianz Masters kicked off in Shanghai in May this year and is being rolled out to other core markets within Asia Pacific.

Allianz has posted steady business growth in Asia Pacific. In 2015, its new business value rose 17% from the previous year, driven by a strong multi-channel distribution strategy and steady product innovation. Agency is a key distribution channel for Allianz’s 6.3 million customers in Asia, contributing to 43% of annualised new premiums in 2015.
