  • Malaysian twins win wild card to join the AJFC 2015 next month in Munich, Germany
  • The third Allianz Junior Football Camp Asia took place in Bali from July 28th -31st, 2015

From July 28th – 31st, 2015, 32 passionate young footballers from 5 different countries came to Bali, Indonesia to participate in the third Allianz Junior Football Camp Asia. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the participants to get instructed by the well known FC Bayern München 

Youth coach Timon Pauls.The youngsters, all aged from 14-16, were chosen to attend the Camp from amongst thousands of applicants from five Asian countries, such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea. “Every year, the Allianz Junior Football Camp brings together youngsters who share a passion for football. This camp provides participants from different cultural and social backgrounds with a unique platform to hone their skills and excel in the sport. Their determination for and obsession with excellence will be beneficial in helping them to reach the pinnacle of success both at a professional and personal level,” said Zakri Khir, 

Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Malaysia Berhad.Allianz has a longstanding football partnership with the popular FC Bayern München as well as the ‘Naming Rights Partner’ of the Allianz Arena. In keeping the popularity and interest in the Allianz´s football youth engagement in Asia, an Asian pre-selection camp was initiated to give more kids a chance to participate in the unique 4-day experience. The teenagers enjoyed practise sessions where they got professional tips to individually improve their football skills. Timon Pauls, FC Bayern Munchen Youth Coach led the training sessions in Bali. “For me as youth coach of FC Bayern München it is an exciting challenge to share our training methods with football enthusiasts from all over the world. The Allianz Junior Football Camp in Bali provides young people from Asia with a unique opportunity to develop their skills and exchange experiences in the field of football.” 

Every youngster’s dream on the football pitch was to get selected for the global Allianz Junior Football Camp in Munich. Almost all the teenagers present displayed a good level of tactical, technical and physical skills, which made the decision harder. Their level of passion amazed Timon Pauls. 

For Malaysian twins Muhammad Syuaib Bin Mohamad and Muhammad Syukri Bin Mohamad, there were no words to express their joy when they were selected as the wild card winners to join the AJFC 2015 camp in Munich this month.

Muhammad Syukri said the training provided him and his brother with an opportunity to learn a lot of football skills and adopt new skills from the coaches there. For Muhammad Syuaib, it was an opportunity to meet many new friends from other countries and it was the first time he experienced training with female footballers from Korea. 

The boys were selected based on their overall performance at this camp such as football as well as social skills among participants. They were overwhelmed when their nomination to go to Munich was announced. Global Allianz Junior Football Camp in Munich from August 13th – 18th, 75 teenagers will experience an once-in-a-lifetime experience to meet their football heroes at the FC Bayern training ground on Säbener Straße personally. Here the chosen youngsters will enhance their personal skills during a series of training sessions and then compete with each other at the final tournament. 

This unforgettable adventure also includes the chance to watch a private training session and meet international football superstars like world’s best goalkeeper – Manuel Neuer. The youngsters will also receive a behind-the-scenes tour at the world famous Allianz Arena, will attend the opening match of the Bundesliga and do sightseeing in Munich.

At the same time the youths have the unique opportunity to establish contacts with football fans from all around the world. No matter where they come from - there are 29 countries involved this year– all the young people have one thing in common: their passion for football. 

A total of over 300 youngsters aged between 14 and 16 years old have attended Allianz Junior Football Camps since 2009, creating a legacy of worldwide contacts and international friendships.
