Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad’s Claims Caravan is all geared up and will mobilise at a moment’s notice to areas affected by the flood to help expedite claims.
In the following weeks, the caravan will also be deployed to flood prone areas in Kelantan, Pahang, Johor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. The caravan will spend at least one day in each city by rotation between now until the end of the monsoon season to assist Allianz General Householder and Houseowner policyholders whose homes have been affected by the flood. Last year, Allianz General deployed the Claims Caravan for the first time to the East Coast region for 30 days. The Company served customers from Kemaman, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu, Kuantan and Temerloh, processing 5,000 flood claims and hopes to reach out to more customers through its initiative this year.
“Floods during the Monsoon season are no longer a surprise to Malaysians. It’s about being prepared for it. Last year, our Claims Caravan made a huge difference to our customers in the East Coast. And this time, the caravan will be deployed in three regions, ready to expedite the claims approval and payment process to help more Malaysians rebuild their lives,” said Jayapragash Amblavanar, Head of Claims.
“Saying that we provide simply the best value for customers is not lip service; we prove it through our actions. Our aim is to help you get back on your feet. Besides that, what you do during and after the flood is crucial. We advise our customers to get in touch with our claims personnel as soon as possible after a flood. Also, try to keep records of all the damages, receipts and take photos wherever, whenever possible to help us expedite your claims,” added Jayapragash.
With the Allianz Claims Caravan, Allianz customers will be able to walk-in to the caravan and fill in a claim form. An adjuster will then be assigned to survey the said property within 24 hours. Householder (tenants) and house owner policyholders will also receive a waterproof survival kit, complete with blanket, towels, first aid kit and torch light.
