Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad are fast tracking claims for flood victims in Penang.

Ooi Seng Chye and Ooi Kok Aun had suffered losses to their homes when the floods hit the island state last week. They are just two such cases in which claims negotiations and arrangements for payout were completed within 48 hours.

"Seng Chye and Kok Aun came to our Claims Caravan to lodge their claims on Saturday and we were able to send our adjusters to survey the damages and hasten the claims process for a quick payout," said Jayapragash Amblavanar, Head of Claims.

Allianz General's Claims Caravan has been stationed in the north since the floods hit last week. The caravan was previously in Bukit Mertajam and Alor Setar and is currently stationed in Penang. 

All Allianz home insurance policyholders whose homes have been affected by the flood are able to file their claims at the caravan. The Company would then assign an adjuster to survey the said property.

Eligible motor insurance policyholders will also be able to lodge their claims at the caravan.

Besides that, all Allianz customers who lodge flood claims at the caravan will also receive a waterproof survival kit, complete with blanket, towels, first aid kit and torch light. 

"A quick claims payout can make a whole lot of difference and that's what we are trying to do for our customers in Penang. It's important to us that we are able to be there for them in their time of need. We want to offer them some form of comfort and help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible," added Jayapragash. 

Allianz advises all customers who are affected by the floods in Penang to get in touch with their claims personnel as quickly as possible.
