Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad’s Claims Caravan was stationed at Bukit Mertajam in Penang following the flood which hit the island state last week. The Claims Caravan which is currently stationed at Allianz’s Penang Branch along China Street in Georgetown will continue to assist in expediting claims submitted by Allianz General Householder and Houseowner policyholders whose homes have been affected by the flood. “We knew we had to be there for our customers in Penang, to help them expedite their claims approval and payment process and help them get back on their feet. We advise our customers to get in touch with our claims personnel as soon as possible after a flood. Also, try to keep records of all the damages, receipts and take photos wherever, whenever possible to help us expedite your claims,” said Jayapragash Amblavanar, Head of Claims. With the Allianz Claims Caravan, Allianz customers are able to walk-in to the caravan to fill up their claim form. An adjuster would then be assigned to survey the said property within 24 hours. Allianz Householder (tenants) and Houseowner policyholders who are affected by the floods will also receive a waterproof survival kit, complete with blanket, towels, first aid kit and torch light.
