The Article

Running 8km in 60 minutes, becoming a certified diver and completing a trek through Annapurna, Nepal. Three Malaysians will see their resolutions fulfilled after winning Allianz Malaysia’s #AllianzDare2bHealthy challenge.

The winning trio, Zurina Omar, Jordan Lo Jo Zheng and Umadevi Vengdesh will now undergo a six-month training in hopes of fulfiling their resolution by the end of the year.

“It’s a very exciting time for us at Allianz Malaysia as we get ready to fulfill the healthy resolutions of our three winners. Selecting the winners was tough but these were resolutions that really inspired us. The purpose of our campaign was simply to get Malaysians to start making conscious efforts daily to be more healthy. From all the entries that we received,  I think we managed to achieve that and made it fun at the same time,” said Joannica Dass, Head of Corporate Communication of Allianz Malaysia Berhad.

The #AllianzDare2bHealthy campaign was launched with a three-day on-ground activation event  held between 6 - 8 May 2016  at the Ground Floor of Nu Sentral in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. The campaign then continued online until 29 May 2016.

The 24-day campaign saw members of the public submit entries through Allianz Malaysia’s Facebook page or Instagram account and approximately 170 entries were received. The top eight entries were then shortlisted by a judging panel. The three winning resolutions were selected for pledges that were daring, set out of their comfort zone and see them  adopt a healthier lifestyle.

“Allianz Malaysia is all about offering simply the best value for customers and delivering on our promises to Malaysians. As they embark on their journey in fulfilling their resolutions in six-months time, we will be with them every step of the way. It’s going to take a lot of effort, hard work and determination and we hope their stories will inspire Malaysians to go out there and dare to live life to the fullest,” added Joannica.

To join the campaign, participants simply needed to click ‘like’ on the Allianz Malaysia’s Facebook page or follow Allianz Malaysia on Instagram. They then performed three exercises based on the A-Z Exercise Chart (according to the first three-letters of their name), state their resolution and upload the video onto their Facebook or Instagram accounts with the following #AllianzDate2BHealthy and #DareTo and tag three brave friends to dare them to join the campaign.

The three entries with the most worthy resolution that can be life changing were chosen to embark on the full campaign where each of them will be assisted in fulfilling their be-healthy resolution. At the end of six months, the results will be revealed in a follow-up video on Facebook.
